To get an accurate tracing, your partner needs to kneel down in front of you to mark the front part of your foot, and then must come around and kneel behind you to trace your heel side.REALLY IMPORTANT: Put a mark between big toe and second toe.

Capture your tracings with precision by using the level feature on your phone's camera.

  • I-PHONE

  • Switch to the Level Tool: Swipe left or right on the screen until you see the "Level" option. It usually appears after the Photo, Video, and other modes.

  • Align Your Phone: Hold your iPhone parallel to the surface you want to trace. Ensure that the yellow crosshair is centered within the two white indicators.

  • Capture the Tracing: Once your iPhone is perfectly aligned, tap the shutter button to capture the tracing.

  • Review and Adjust: After capturing the image, review it to ensure it meets your precision requirements.

  • Crop the Image

  • Access the Cropping Tool: After capturing the image, tap on the preview of the image to open it. Look for an edit or crop option (usually indicated by a square or rectangle icon) and tap on it to access the cropping tool.

  • Adjust the Crop: Use the cropping handles to adjust the crop lines. Carefully align the edges of the crop with the edges of the paper. (US Letter or A4) Zoom in if necessary to ensure precision.

    once you're satisfied with the crop, tap on the "Crop" or "Apply" button to confirm the crop and save the edited image.

  • Save or Share: After cropping, you'll be prompted to save the edited image. Choose a location to save it.

  • Send to: With your name, feet tracings (left & right), measurement, shoe size and instep measurement written on the paper, please send the photo as a jpg image in an email to sabine@kikany.com

  • Open Camera App: Unlock your Android phone and locate the Camera app. Tap to open it.

  • Switch to Level Mode: Within the Camera app, look for the settings or modes icon. It often appears as a gear or three dots arranged vertically. Tap on it to access additional camera features. Look for a level or grid option. Tap to activate it. This mode helps you align your camera perfectly parallel to the paper's edge.

  • Position the Camera: Hold your phone directly above the paper you want to capture. Use the level indicator on the screen to ensure the phone is perfectly aligned with the edge of the paper. Adjust the angle of your phone until the level indicator shows that it's perfectly parallel to the edge.

  • Capture the Image: Once your phone is aligned, tap the shutter button to capture the image. Make sure the entire paper is visible within the frame.

  • Access the Cropping Tool: After capturing the image, tap on the preview of the image to open it. Look for an edit or crop option (usually indicated by a square or rectangle icon) and tap on it to access the cropping tool.

  • If your feet are too big for standard USletter/A4 paper, a simple solution is to trace them on a different paper and send the tracings via regular mail.
